The CORE has had the great pleasure of becoming LEED Gold Certified!
Wondering what being “LEED Certified” means? We’re here to explain it.
LEED stands for "Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design” – LEED is the most widely used green building rating system in the world! LEED concentrates its efforts on improving performance across five key areas of environmental and human health. These five key areas are – energy efficiency, indoor environmental quality, materials selection, sustainable site development and water savings.
When a building, such as the CORE proves that it is operating adequately and efficiently with all five key areas in mind LEED will provide a third-party verification to recognize the building’s efforts in creating a greener and more sustainable future. These efforts include, efficiently using energy and water, protecting patron and occupant health, improving employee productivity, reducing waste, contribution to pollution and environmental breakdown.
The CORE has made substantial changes to ensure that the property is run more efficiently and environmentally friendly in order to pave the way for a better tomorrow. These impactful changes and hard work have led the CORE to have the great honor of becoming LEED Certified.
